Paneer Bhurji


  1. Paneer (200gms)
  2. Onion (2)
  3. Tomato (2)
  4. Green Chillies
  5. Spices: Turmeric, Red Chilly Powder
  6. Ghee
  7. Cumin
  8. Ginger and Garlic (or paste)

Mise En Place

(I like this ginger heavy and light on garlic)


  1. Heat a Kadhai, add 2 spoons ghee
  2. Add a big pinch of cumin seeds
  3. (Medium Flame) Add in the onions. Occassionally stir. Until translucent
  4. Add in the ginger-garlic. Let its rawness go away.
  5. Add in tomatoes, green chillies. Set flame to medium-low. And let the tomatoes get soft.
  6. Add in a pinch of salt, half tsp turmeric and some red chilly. I prefer the taste of green chillies in this recipes.
  7. Add in crumbled paneer, mix a little.
  8. If available, some chopped coriander would be good.
